For Minesa, what they put into the community matters as much as their mining activities.
When Santander-based mining company wanted to communicate their environmental efforts with their corporate colleagues and the communities— we crafted a brand that encouraged trust and respect, building a sustainable identity around unity and harmony.
Client
Mubadala
Location
Santander, Colombia
Brash worked closely with the client Mubadala, and based on the careful research they have learned that people from Santander believe themselves to be hardworking, with old fashioned values and a strong send of tradition and they care about preserving their identity and environment. Brash came up with the name that sends a strong message of tradition and association. “Sociedad Minera De Santander or Minesa” stresses the importance of the project as a locally-rooted enterprise. With all these in mind, we created a logo with a balance between a corporate business and a brand for the community to engage with.
Minesa was established in February 2015 to develop the largest underground gold mine in Columbia, owned 100% by Mubadala Development Company. Targeting 9 million ounces of gold production over 20 years, using latest technology and world-class environmental and safety standards. Currently employing ~600 direct employees and contractors; ~90% from Santander and ~99% Colombian.
